This Level 1 course will focus on the foundation elements of the work.
We will begin with practicing Audible Exhale, Non Judgmental Mind, and finding Gravity Line, working particularly with exercises that highlight our Habitual Body. Through this we will discover patterns that govern our creative flow and learn to redirect our energy to play outside of our usual range of movement.
Lucid Body is both an acting process and a process of deep self-exploration. We work to connect the physical to the emotional body therefore harnessing our body's truth. In rearranging our habitual energy, we can bring new parts of ourselves to play, parts of self that illuminate characters and allow us to respond from a new set of given circumstances.
The work is physically and emotionally challenging but I will never push you and am committed to meeting each student half way. Wherever you need to stretch and work, I will be there to support you in that.
*Open to actors and non-actors alike; no experience of performance necessary, but a willingness to play and a brave heart are a must.
** Level 1 refers to the new global Lucid Body levels system that allows students to pick up where they left off in another country with confidence that they have completed all the necessary exercises to move on to the next step.
